Batty Family BBQ

Last night we had the Batty Family BBQ. It was so much fun to get together with everyone and play catch up. We had delicious food and lots of fun! Here are a few pictures that I got throughout the night.

Little Weston is the happiest baby! He really loved Amy's earings.
He was focused on getting them!
Dusty spiked it!

Strawberry Days Rodeo

All day Saturday, Dusty and I were planning on going to the Strawberry Days rodeo. The weather was horrible all day, and it REALLY was raining there for awhile. We kept our eyes on weather.com and saw the hope that the rain was suppose to stop by 7. People told us that we were crazy and that we were going to be miserable, but we didn't care. We were going. The main reason for going was because last year I missed it when I had my gallbladder, and I was really wanting some of those strawberries! So we headed over to the rodeo grounds at 7, and there were clear skies. We didn't have a drop of rain fall on us. I think that the bad weather made a lot of other people not want to come either, and so we had a good 10 feet on each side of us, and no one sitting in front of us. Amazing for the Strawberry Days rodeo on Saturday. The rodeo was awesome because of all the rain, it was wet mud in the whole arena. Everyone was covered, and it even made one of the horses trip because it was so slick. Thanks Dusty for braving the "suppose to be" bad weather!

Wild Cow Miking - those poor guys were being drug around, but they didn't let go!
On of my favorite things about rodeos is the royalty and their HOT outfits. I just don't understand the really bright colors and really tight pants. But it is entertaining anyway.
Here is a video I got

When we got home there was crazy amounts of water in our backyard. We are planning on putting a patio in our back yard, and Dusty has been digging it out and getting it ready. In the whole there was a good 4 inches or more of water. It was crazy! Dusty is going to fall in!!!

Another Play, but this one with the boys

Last night we (meaning Dusty and I) headed over the Scera outdoor theater with Jeff and Kitani to see Beauty and the Beast. It was really good and so much fun! We brought our blankets, relaxed and enjoyed the play. I loved all the costumes, they were super creative. And the set was AMAZING!!!! It looked like bunch of books and I couldn't believe what they did with it.
I wanted to get some pictures of it but they didn't allow flash photography during the play. Sad! :(

The amazing set and delicious Dippin'Dots!!

Ali and Kitani - 2 plays within a week = AWESOME!
Dusty did some of this during the play!
Kitani and Jeff - he liked it a little more than Dusty did. And if the Scera ever does Beauty and the Beast again, they should really have Jeff do the Beast voice overs. He was much better!
Thanks for a fun night guys. We had a blast!

Springville Carnival

This weekend we went to the Springville Carnival and fireworks with Karly and Carlos. We had a lot of fun! We ate yummy food and Karly got hit on my the carny workers! Good times!

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

Friday night I got an early birthday present from Dusty, tickets to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Dusty didn't really want to go so I went with one of my besties, Kitani!
We had a blast! The play was amazing. The spies were my favorite, except for the flying car! Kitani and I were trying to figure out how they were doing it, but we couldn't.
Thanks for an awesome birthday present Dusty!!!! Love you!

Busy Weekend

Dusty and I had a fun filled weekend and it was very busy!
We started it off on Friday by going to Night at the Museum 2. I loved it! I loved the first one, and thought that the second one was just as great. It has some great new characters.
On Saturday we took a drive up to the Hill Air Force Base to watch the Air Show. The traffic was crazy and but it was well worth it because Dusty loved it! I had a good time too.

My boss told me that this was the Heritage Flight

We finished off Satuday night by going to the first ever Springville Rodeo.
We love the summer because there are a lot rodeos that we get to go to.
Dusty and I
This is how it is done in Springville
There aren't enough seats in the bleachers so everyone brings
their own chairs and lots of food and snacks.
Sunday we had our friends Karly and Carlos over for a little barbeque.
It was a great way to end the amazing weekend.

Outside Projects

We have accomplished a bit outside in the last couple of days.
We planted our garden, extended our driveway, planted some beautiful flowers and also got the back grass cut out so that we (and by we, I mean Dusty) can get it ready to pour a patio.
This is how we planted. Dusty made the whole and I dropped the seed
Our garden - it has PEAS, zuchini, squash and corn. Not too bad for a first garden
And while my mom was here for the weekend, she made the beautiful rows. Nicely done!

Last night while we were planting the garden, this was the weather. I love it!!! Nice and cloudy
The gravel is done and just waiting cement
On Satuday Dusty, with the help of his dad, brother and uncle, poured cement to extend our driveway. They did awesome. Thanks so much for all of the help! You guys were amazing!
And I loved this picture of Harley running to go get Dusty who was standing behind me.

So we have got a lot accomplished and it will probably continue throughout the summer :)
