Easter

This Easter, Dusty was working all weekend, and my mom was up in Idaho watching my sister's kids, so I decided to head on up to Idaho and join in the fun.
The kids had a great time! Trae and Kira woke up and were ready to look for their baskets.
Sandy, Mark and Ryan joined us later that day and we had a great dinner, and then an Easter egg hunt. It was a great weekend!
Dax even joined the fun of the Easter egg hunt. He is getting so big and is so much fun!

Ryan won a super hero cape in the egg hunt, and so Trae had to go find his so that they could play. This is their Super Hero Pose

Catch Up #3 - Las Vegas

At the end of February, Dusty and I were able to take a quick weekend trip down to Vegas. Dusty had a RARE weekend off, and we took full advantage.
We were able to just relax, spend some time with my mom, and the best part is that my mom and I went to LOVE. It was amazing!!!! The tricks, the dancing, the Beatles music was great. I HIGHLY recommend anyone to go and see it. You won't regret it.

Catch Up #2 - Dakota Wedding

Dakota and Jeff got married in February. We were all so excited for the day to arrive. Everything was set, and the night before we all met up to have a dinner with family.

What an Update?

Okay, so I have been the worst blogger! I am so sorry. I wish that I could give you some great excuse, but the truth is, I just haven't done it. Whoops!! I will try to get back on track. I have some fun things to blog about, but probably the most pressing is this:
Yes that is right, we are having a baby! Our little GIRL is due August 6th. (Yes that is Dusty's birthday) Everything is going well. I was sick at first, but now just tired, which I don't plan on ever going away :) We are very excited. I will try to keep my blog more updated.

Finishing up 2009

December has come and gone and it is already the new year. I don't know where it went. Our December was filled with Dusty finishing a semester (only one more to go!!), family parties, hanging out with friends, relaxing, and of course the holidays.

We made it up to Temple Square to see the lights with Carlos, Karly, Jeff and Kitani
It was tons of fun, although it was very busy and very cold
We spent Christmas up at Dusty's parents. There was delicious food and lots of presents.
Aiden really knew what was going on this year. She was a pro!
That weekend, we went to Dax's baby blessing and spent some time with my family in Pocatello and opened our Christmas presents there. It was a lot of fun. This is all of us after the blessing

My sister and her cute family. The kids love having a little brother

So now that it is the new year, I will just to post some more. That means that I need to get busy!!

Thanksgiving Weekend

We had a busy Thanksgiving weekend that was full of family, laughter, movies and of course delicious food. We went up to my grandparents in Clearfield and had a lot of family there. My mom came up from Vegas, Tia and her family came from Idaho, as well as the Pingels. My mom's cousin Adam with his 3 kids came too, so we had a full house! It was a lot of fun!!! Dusty and I went shopping Thanksgiving night at Shopko and got a couple of things, but didn't get up for the shopping on Friday. I just couldn't do it! Too many people.
This is the only picture that I have of Dusty and I at Thanksgiving.
I don't know what we are doing in it.
After dinner my aunt Sandy did a craft for the kids. They loved it!

All the little ones

Tia, the kids, and my mom all stayed with us for the rest of the weekend. On Saturday we took the kids to see Santa and they had a great time. They were sure he was the real Santa!

Even Baby Dax was in the picture

Saturday afternoon Dusty and I went to the BYU vs Utah football game. It was a really good game and it was a great way to finish the season
BYU Won!!!! And the fans rushed the field!!
Final Score 26-23 after overtime
Sunday night we pulled out our Christmas decorations and got to work.
With the help of my mom and Kitani, I got my tree decorated. YAY!!!!!!

California

We took a much needed long weekend vacaction to California. My mom's friend was putting on a concert and my mom was going to be there so we decided to make a trip out of it. We stayed in Huntington Beach and it was awesome!

Outside the place that we stayed

Dusty and mom chilling inside

Me and my adorable mom! We look more alike now that I have blond hair. This is how we got around. We rode bikes every day. It was a blast!!! There is nothing better than riding your bike by the ocean. So we took full advantage and rode our bikes everywhere. It was such nice weather, not too hot and not too cold, all you needed was a light jacket. Name the movie! :)

While there we also ate and some amazing places!

This is the Crab Cooker!

Dusty was in heaven, they serve all seafood and it is super fresh. They also serve you on paper plates and use paper cups. It was great! Since I don't like seafood I got some yummy coleslaw and potatoes. But I did try shrimp. It was good with the bacon, but I don't think that it is going to become something that I eat on a regular basis.
Ruby's is another favorite. They have amazing shakes!!! The Ruby's that we went to is out on the pier in Huntington Beach.

The best place had to be Fred's. It was amazing Mexican food. We all ate a lot, and probably could have eaten more if we weren't so stuffed. It is a must to go to! I am afraid that I will be getting cravings for it.

Dusty picked a flower for me to wear in my hair.

We had an AMAZING time!!!

Thanks mom for the invite! We need to do it again soon!

On Saturday we headed down to Santa Monica for Ashton Zyer's, my mom's friend from Las Vegas, concert. We had some time during the day so we met up with Dusty's cousin, Chad. We grabbed some delicious lunch and had a great time catching up.

She is super talented!
She composes, sings, plays the piano and the guitar

Dusty and I then headed over to the Santa Monica Pier. I have always wanted to go and ride the ferris wheel. I was so scared because it is really high and right on the ocean. But we did it and had a great time! The view was awesome.
