Christmas

Every year for Christmas, my mom gets all of us matching pajamas. They were super comfy and so cute this year. Not that they aren't every year. We were all suppose to bring a red shirt. I don't own a normal looking red shirt, so mine looks a little different.

Christmas Movie Quotes

I just thought that I would do a fun Christmas post about some of my favorite quotes from 2 of my favorite Christmas movies. Hope you enjoy!!!
Buddy: "Buddy the Elf! What's your favorite color?"

Gimbel’s Manager: “This is the North Pole.”
Buddy: “No it isn’t.”
Gimbel’s Manager: “Yes it is.”
Buddy: “No it isn’t.”
Gimbel’s Manager: “Yes it is!”
Buddy: “No it isn’t! Where the snow?”

Emily
: “You like sugar huh?”
Buddy: “Is there sugar in syrup?”
Emily: “Yes”
Buddy: “Then YES!”

Buddy: “Have you seen these toilets? They’re GINORMOUS!”

Gimbel’s Manager: “Why are you smiling like that?”
Buddy: “I just like to smile, smiling’s my favorite.”
Gimbel’s Manager: “Make work your favorite. That’s your new favorite!”

Buddy: “He’s an angry elf.”

The Grinch: "The nerve of those Whos. Inviting me down there - and on such short notice. Even if I wanted to go, my schedule wouldn't allow it. Four o'clock, wallow in self pity; 4:30, stare into the abyss; 5:00, solve world hunger, tell no one. 5:30, jazzercise. 6:30, dinner with me. I can't cancel that again. 7:00, wrestle with my self loathing; I'm booked. Of course, if I bump up the loathing to to 9 I could still be done in time to lay in bed, stare at the ceiling and slip slowly into madness. But what would I wear?"

Happy Holidays!!!! We hope that everyone has a fabulous time

Batty Family Christmas Party

This is the little dress that we got Aiden.
It is a little big, but she is growing so fast so it will fit in no time.
Aiden opening up "King Bidgoods in the Bathtub"

My Peppermint Cake
It was delicious!

We had our Christmas party with Dusty's family last night. It was good food, and lots of fun! The snow was crazy, but we all made it.

Las Vegas Bowl 2008

This weekend Dusty and I went down to Vegas to the watch BYU in the Las Vegas Bowl. It was really last minute (just like a lot of other things that we do). We got tickets Friday morning and left at noon. We missed the big storm, so that was great! We got down Friday night and went to dinner with my mom at BJ's. I love that place!!! I think that I could eat there every day.
Saturday we woke up, did a little shopping and got ready for the game.

This is Dusty and I doing a "Y" - in case you couldn't tell
The game, BYU did not do well at all. And they lost because they made so many mistakes.
It was sad to watch
Dusty and I at the game. He is still doing the "Y"

It was really cold! I had a turtleneck, puffy vest with hood, down coat with hood, and 2 beanies on. Dusty on the other hand was not quite as prepared. He got pretty cold.

Some things that were more interesting than the game itself.
1- David Hasslehoff sang the National Anthem. I was dying laughing. I know that is not respectful, but it was so funny! I just kept thinking of him and Baywatch. Weird
2- The BYU band is a little old fashioned. I much preferred the Arizona band. They played "I like big butts" and the whole crowd was singing. It was pretty entertaining
3- The thing that the BYU band did have going for them was that they were using a cowbell, and it reminded me of the SNL skit. I just wanted to yell "I need more cowbell!"
4- There was an Arizona fan that was sitting by us, and I just laughed at him through the whole game. It was totally into it, and was a great sport about the whole game.
All in all it was a great trip, and now we are just getting ready to celebrate Christmas and spend time with our families.

Lights at Temple Square

Saturday night we took our annual Temple Square to see the lights trip. It was super cold because it finally decided to start to snow, now that it is the middle of December. But it was fun walking around with the snow falling down. Jeff and Kitani came with us, and we had a blast. I think that I might have embarressed everyone because I was dancing and leaping around. I was just trying to stay warm!!!

Dusty and I were posing like the statue of Joseph and Emma behind us.
I thought it would be a great idea, and Dusty was being a great sport!

Jeff and Kitani
My coat is so big and warm!
This is us at the Melting Pot. After looking at lights we went and had some cheese and chocolate fondue. It was delicious!!!!

Arizona - part 3

We went 4 wheeling on Saturday before we headed out. It was tons of fun. It is so different than 4 wheeling in Utah. It was a really nice change.

Arizona - part 2

We were able to do some fun things while we were in Arizona.
We went on a boat ride on Thursday. It was so much fun! It is a 30 ft long boat, and we got it going pretty fast. Dusty told me that it has a Nascar racing engine in it. Intense!

Thanksgiving in Arizona

This year we were able to go down to Arizona for Thanksgiving.
We stayed with Dusty's aunt and uncle Janelle and Kelly. We had so much fun!
The weather was fairly nice, but it could have been a little warmer. :)
We had lots of good food, plenty of time to rest and play, and good times with the family. This is Kelly getting the turkey to deep fry
Lowering it in - I don't like turkey, but everyone else said that it was really good

Dusty jumping into the poolIt was super cold!!! It had rained, and so the water in the pool was freezing!
Dusty took care of being cold by jumping into the hot tub
