Grizzlies Hockey Game

Friday night Dusty and I went up to the Utah Grizzlies Hockey Game. We had so much fun. Over the past couple of years, I have come to realize how much I love hockey. It is so much fun to watch and gets super intense. Thanks for such a fun date night Dust! The bottom pic is a little kid league that got to play in between the quarters (i don't know what they are called). It was hilarious! They were sliding everywhere.

Twilight the Movie

Okay, so the movie Twilight came out last night. I really wanted to see it, but one I had to go to a movie theater that had reserved seating because I was not going to go stand in line, and two, I couldn't decide if I wanted to go the opening weekend since it would be super busy. But yesterday when I got home from work Dusty, being the amazing husband he is, asked me how bad I wanted to go to Twilight. I was honest and said "well pretty bad. I really want to see it." So he said that there were tickets (at a theater with reserved seating) at 2:30am with good seats. I said "let's do it!" So last night Dusty and I braved the crowds and went and saw Twilight. We got home at 5:30, and I had to be to work at 9 this morning. Good times!
Review of the Movie: I went into this movie with NO expectations. I knew it wasn't going to be as good as the book, and I knew that who they cast was completely different than what I had pictured. So I was pleasantly surprised. I really liked the movie! Although it was different from the book, it had the same overall feel. The cast was great and I really hope that they make the others movies because I think that they will also be really good. Dusty even said that he liked the movie. Bonus! I think that even if you haven't read the books, you should check out the movie and just watch it as a movie and don't worry about what the book was like. Let me know what you think!

This is what time we arrived at the movie theater
Dusty and I sitting in our seats. We were both pretty tired, but had just drank a Mt Dew.
Good thing!

America's Next Top Model

pictured (left to right): Annaleigh, McKey, Sam
Last night it was the finale of America's Next Top Model. I love this show, but this season it was really hard because I wasn't LOVING any of the girls. My favs were Elina and Annaleigh. Annaleigh made it in to the top 3 with McKey, who is a boxer and as some of the judges say "looks like Lurch when she walks", and Sam who drives me nuts!!!! Last night I was just hoping that Annaleigh would be the one to win, but she did really bad on her Covergirl commercial, and was kicked off. And that left McKey and Sam. I didn't even care who won at that point, but I still had to watch for who did. It was McKey, who is not cute and as Dusty would say "was she the ugly one?" when I told him who won. So this season of ANTM was very frustrating and I just wanted to see if anyone else was as frustrated as I was with the results?

Trae's Birthday Party

This weekend Dusty and I went to Idaho for our nephew Trae's birthday party. This was the first one that we had been able to go to so we were pretty excited. It was a busy weekend, with getting everything ready for the party and keeping the kids entertained. But we got a few moments for the adults. We played a lot of Wii (mario kart, bowling, tennis) and Guitar Hero. Come to find out I am pretty bad at everything. I just don't have the coordination for it.
Here is Tia rocking out. She kicked our butts!
Dusty wasn't too bad himself. He actually got REALLY good!
The Mickey Party! They did a pinata. The kids loved it.

This is Kira's crazy face. She does it every time you pull the camera out. She is hilarious!
Kira sharing the candy with Grammy. She was shoving it in her mouth
Trae blowing out his candles. I wonder if he was wishing for something? (as Tia would say, "probably a cousin.")
Trae opening up Mr Potato Head from YaYa and Dusty. He got lots of cool presents, and was so thankful. He is such a sweet and funny boy, so we were excited to be able to go to his party!
